A Message from Police Officer John Hampton, San Bruno Police Department
We understand that now, more than ever, it may be tough to find parking in many neighborhoods. Reports of blocked sidewalks have increased during the Shelter In Place Order and this is primarily because many homes in San Bruno have driveways that are too short to fit modern vehicles. Last night our patrol teams began a campaign of placing warnings (attached) on those vehicles blocking sidewalks. Warnings are being issued in an effort to continue our stance of education before enforcement during this pandemic. Subsequent violations of vehicles blocking sidewalks will, however, result in a $50 parking citation. We are asking everyone to spread the word so we can avoid issuing citations. Blocking sidewalks creates a hazard for many groups of people in our community. Thank you for your cooperation. #SBCares
